Land Use Committee

The Land Use Committee reviews County land use proposals and makes recommendations concerning their impact on the Community such as compatibility, flooding and drainage, emergency services, disaster planning, traffic, public transit, etc. The Land Use Committee compares projects to requirements as outlined in the North Coast Area Plan and Coastal Zone Land Use Ordinance Title 23.

Public meetings of the committee occur on the first Monday of every month, 1:00 p.m., at Pacific Premier Bank in East Village Cambria.  Project applicants and representatives, and members of the public are invited. In addition, community participation comprises the make up of the council, which varies over time and specific interests.

Transportation/Traffic Committee

​

The Transportation/Traffic Committee discusses all matters relating to Cambria and San Simeon traffic elements.  The issues are brought to our attention by members of the community and by various County Departments.  The committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 3.00 p.m. at Pacific Premier Bank and notice of these meetings is printed in The Cambrian.  The public is invited to attend the meetings and raise any concerns that they may have regarding local traffic problems.
